Sharing Your Ripple

Once your Ripple is ready, you need to get people into it. Rippily provides several ways to share access.

The Share Modal

Click the Share button in the creator toolbar to open the share modal. It offers multiple sharing methods:

Copy Link

Click Copy Link to copy the Ripple's URL to your clipboard. The link follows the format:

https://rippily.com/wave/<wave-id>/<ripple-id>

Paste it in emails, messages, social media posts, or anywhere you need to direct people.

QR Code

The share modal generates a QR code for your Ripple. This is particularly useful for:

  • In-person events — display the QR code on a screen or projector and attendees can scan it with their phone
  • Printed materials — include the QR code on flyers, posters, or handouts
  • Hybrid sessions — share with people in the same physical room who want to join on their device

Native Sharing (Mobile)

On devices that support the Web Share API (most mobile browsers), a native share option appears. This lets you share directly to messaging apps, email, or social media using your device's built-in sharing interface.

Guest Access

The link you share determines how people can join:

  • Logged-in users who are members of the Wave can join directly
  • Non-members may need to join the Wave first, depending on your Wave's access settings
  • Guests can join with limited permissions if guest access is enabled

Tips

  • Test the link — before sharing broadly, open the link in an incognito window to see what non-members experience
  • Combine with room locking — share the link in advance, lock the room, and admit people as they arrive. This gives you control over who joins and when.
  • QR codes at events — display the QR code early and leave it visible so latecomers can still join easily
  • Include context — when sharing a link, add a brief description of what the session is about and any preparation needed
