Invitations

Overview

There are two ways to invite people to your Wave, both available from Wave Settings → Members:

  • Add Members — send email invitations to specific people
  • Generate Member Link — create a shareable URL anyone can use to join

Inviting by Email

Click the Add Members pill in the Members panel. Enter one or more email addresses (comma or line separated) and choose a role.

If recipients already have a Rippily account, they see the invitation immediately. If they do not, they receive an email prompting them to sign up.

Email invitations create a pending membership. Invited people appear under the Invited filter tab until they accept.

Generating a Member Link

Click the Generate Member Link pill to create a shareable join URL. You can share it anywhere — on social media, in emails, on your website, or in chat.

Each link can have:

  • Label — for your own tracking (e.g., "Twitter bio link"). Only visible to you and your administrators.
  • Role — choose Member (default) or Administrator. Account Holder cannot be assigned via links.
  • Bubbles — optionally pre-assign joiners to specific Bubbles so they get access to protected content immediately.
  • Max uses — cap how many people can join via this link. Leave empty for unlimited.

Managing Links

Click Manage links in the Members panel header to see all your invite links. Each link shows its label, usage count, and status.

You can copy, disable, or delete any link. Disabling a link stops it from working immediately but keeps its settings and history. Re-enable it later if needed.

Tracking Invitations

The Members panel has three filter tabs:

  • Active — current members
  • Invited — people who have been invited by email but have not yet accepted
  • Requests — pending join requests (for Waves that require approval)

Invited people show their email address, which link they were invited through, and actions to resend or cancel the invitation.

Tips

  • Create separate links for different channels (one for Twitter, one for your newsletter, one for your website) so you can track where members come from
  • Use max uses to cap attendance for workshops or limited-access sessions
  • Pre-assign Bubbles on invite links so new members get the right access from day one
