How Billing Works
- Billing cycle: You can choose annual or monthly billing. Annual billing saves approximately 20%.
- Payment method: We accept all major credit and debit cards via Stripe.
- Invoices: All invoices are available in your billing dashboard at Account > Billing. Each invoice includes a link to view and download.
- Founding Creator pricing: Early subscribers who signed up during the founding period receive a permanent discount on their plan.
Upgrading Your Plan
When you upgrade:
- The upgrade takes effect immediately
- You're charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing period
- All new capacity limits apply right away (more rooms, participants, etc.)
- Any previously paused content is automatically reactivated
Downgrading Your Plan
When you downgrade:
- The change takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- You keep full access to your current plan until then
- When the downgrade activates, content exceeding the new plan's limits is paused (see Paused Content)
- Content is paused in last-created-first order (LIFO) -- your oldest content stays active
Correction Window
After a downgrade takes effect, you have a 2-day correction window to decide which content to keep active:
- Rippily automatically pauses excess content using LIFO order
- During the 2-day window, you can swap which rooms or communities are paused
- After 2 days, the paused selections are locked in place
- To reactivate locked content, upgrade to a plan that supports it
This gives you time to organize your content without pressure.
Room Capacity
Each plan has a maximum number of participants per room:
- Free: 5 participants
- Starter: 25 participants
- Pro: 100 participants
- Business: 250 participants
When a room reaches its capacity limit, new participants see a "room full" message. On paid plans, you can customize this message.
